The Bioengineering Institute of California (BIC) is a University of California, Office of the President (UCOP) multicampus research unit (MRU) that provides an infrastructure to support the research and creative work in bioengineering carried out across all ten UC campuses. Since its establishment in 2003, BIC organizes UC systemwide events, including the summer UC Systemwide Bioengineering Symposium and the UC systemwide Biomedical Engineering Society meeting reception.
